Is it a boy or a girl?

Hola y feliz verano. I hope you all are having a good one. Many of you wanted a summer update as to whether I'm having a boy or a girl ... it's a girl!  We are excitedly getting our house in baby mode while I have some time off. Come say hi in the fall!  (I'm getting uncomfortably bigger.)

Project

Keep working on your project!  It is due Thurs May 29 and Fri May 30 (depending on which class you are in.)

I recommend that you type the content of your project first into a Word document, then copy/paste into your blog.  I haven't been able to figure out how to get the special characters into the blog without doing copy/paste.  (The accents and other special characters are required.  That is part of you writing grade.)  I will give you a cheat sheet in class to help you figure out how to type the special characters.

You need to narrate the story of the silly comic.  You need to include the 4 things described on your sheet (background information, simultaneous actions, sequence of events and interrupted actions).  You need 4 different colors, one for highlighting each of the previous.

My hope is that this will help you visualize where to use preterite and imperfect, as well as facilitate conversations in class.

Feelings book for Thurs / Fri

For your feelings book you need 8 pages.  On each page you need to describe the feeling in both the present and the past.  In the past, feelings use the imperfecto.  You also need to describe WHEN you experience that feeling.  You also need to show me that you can use both ESTAR and SENTIRSE.

Ej.  Me siento triste cuando mis amigos no me llaman.
      Yo estaba triste cuando mis amigos no me llamaban.  (ALSO Simultaneous actions in the past, so both verbs are in the imperfecto.)
